An adaptive regulator, the self-tuning regulator, is studies.
Two approaches, the minimal variance control strategy squares parameter estimation to identify the olant's parameters. The convergence of such parameter estimates is proven for the minimal variance control strategy. Both controls in the approches are computed to minimize the deviation of the process output. A brief view of a state space system description to provide a pole assignement approach is given. |
