centrifugal fanss
Impeller stageIndex. décimale : Ms00883 Résumé : The overall performance of a 125 mm diameter centrifugal fan was measured and the efficiencies were detrmined for variable flow rates.
The comparatively small size of the fan opened up the possibility that because of low Reynolds number, the internal fluid frictional effects might differ from those predicted by conventional methods.
A set of hydraulic low correlation based on the principle of the kinetic energy defect was derived for the fan geometry.
These expressions together with expressions for the external losses were implemented in a program in order to predict the overall performance.
The effect of the various loss correlations on the overall performance was studied and corrections were made in an attempt to reach agreement between the experimental and calculated performances.Energy losses in centrifugal fans [texte imprimé] / A.
