| Résumé : |
Chemical composition of the essential oils obtained by hydrodistillation of the dried leaves, stems and aerial parts of Salvia virgata Jacq. was analyzed by a combination of GC and GC/MS.
Twenty-four components were identified in the leaf oil with β-caryophyllene (35.2%), (Z)-β-farnesene (10.1%), caryophyllene oxide (6.1%) and α-pinene (5.7%) as the main constituents. Twenty-three compounds were characterized for the stem oil with hexadecanoic acid (56%) and β-caryophyllene (7.6%) as the major components. Twenty-five compounds were identified in the aerial parts oil with b-caryophyllene (23.1%), sabinene (18.2%) and (Z)-β-farnesene (12.3%) as the main constituents. Two oils (leaf and flowering aerial parts) consisted mainly of sesquiterpene hydrocarbons, while in the stem oil fatty acids predominated over monoterpenes and sesquiterpenes. |
