Titre : Application of bifunctional ionic liquid extractants [A336][CA-12] and [A336][CA-100] to the lanthanum extraction and separation from rare earths in the chloride medium Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Wang, Wei, Auteur ; Hualing Yang, Auteur ; Hongmin Cui, Auteur Année de publication : 2011 Article en page(s) : pp. 7534-7541 Note générale : Chimie industrielle Langues : Anglais (eng) Mots-clés : Ionic liquid Résumé : In this Article, bifunctional ionic liquid extractants (Bif-ILEs) tricaprylmethylammonium sec-octylphenoxy acetic acid ([A366][CA-12]) and tricaprylmethylammonium sec-nonylphenoxy acetic acid ([A336][CA-100]) used for the rare earths (REs) extraction from the chloride medium have been investigated. The effects of extractants concentration, equilibrium pH of aqueous phase, salt concentration, temperature, etc., were discussed. The results show that the extraction ability of [A336][CA-12] and [A336] [CA-100] is higher than that of the conventional extractants sec-octylphenoxy acetic acid (CA-12), sec-nonylphenoxy acetic acid (CA-100), tri-n-butyl phosphate (TBP), and di-(1-metylheptyl)methyl phosphate (P350) under the same conditions. Furthermore, in the [A336][CA-12] system, the separation factors (β) between La(III) and other REs(III) are higher than 6.0, which indicates that [A336][CA-12] would be suitable for the La(III) extraction and separation. The extraction mechanism is also proposed, and there is a similar extraction tendency in both the [A336][CA-12] and the [A336][CA-100] systems. The loaded organic phase is easy to strip; more than 95% La(III) could be stripped from the loaded organic phase when the stripping acidity is higher than 0.03 M. The recycling experiments also indicate that the two extraction systems could be recycled without loss of the extraction efficiency. Technologie nucléaire. Ingénierie électrique. Machinerie Résumé : In this paper, modular design of embedded feedback controllers using field-programmable gate array (FPGA) technology is studied. To this end, a novel distributed-arithmetic (DA)-based proportional–integral–derivative (PID) controller algorithm is proposed and integrated into a digital feedback control system. The DA-based PID controller demonstrates 80% savings in hardware utilization and 40% savings in power consumption compared to the multiplier-based scheme. It also offers good closed-loop performance while using less resources, resulting in cost reduction, high speed, and low power consumption, which is desirable in embedded control applications. The complete digital control system is built using commercial FPGAs to demonstrate the efficiency. The design uses a modular approach, so that some modules can be reused in other applications. These reusable modules can be ported into Matlab/Simulink as Simulink blocks for hardware/software cosimulation or integrated into a larger design in the Matlab/Simulink environment to allow for rapid prototyping applications.
An improved predictive controller design strategy is proposed to compensate for the delay and data dropout in both the forward and backward channels to achieve the desired control performance. The varying controller gains which are designed to vary with delays can lead to less conservative results. Meanwhile, an algorithm involving a convex optimization problem is presented to achieve a suboptimal guaranteed cost. Furthermore, a numerical simulation and a practical experiment are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Combined with the switched Lyapunov function technique, an improved predictive controller design strategy is proposed to compensate for the delay and data dropout to achieve the desired control performance. Based on these methods, the controllers can be designed to guarantee that the closed-loop system is asymptotically stable with an H∞-norm bound in terms of nonlinear matrix inequalities. An iterative algorithm is presented to solve these nonlinear matrix inequalities to obtain a suboptimal minimum disturbance attenuation level. Numerical simulations and a practical experiment are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method. To evaluate the properties of the flakeshaped NiO-YSZ particles as the anode materials for solid oxide fuel cells, the reduction temperature of the flake-shaped NiO-YSZ particles and catalytic activity on the methane steam/CO2 reforming reactions of the H2-reduced particles as well as the electrochemical impedance spectra of the YSZ supported symmetrical cells with the electrodes made from these particles were examined in comparison with the mixed commercial NiO-YSZ. HRTEM revealed that the nanocrystalline YSZ was dispersed in the NiO matrix and distributed on the surface of the flake-shaped NiO-YSZ particles. The catalytic performance of the flake-shaped NiO-YSZ particles was better than that of the mixed commercial NiO-YSZ in both steam reforming and CO2 reforming of methane. The symmetrical cell made from the flake-shaped NiO-YSZ exhibited a much lower polarization resistance at the operating temperatures below 800 °C than that made from the mixed commercial NiO-YSZ.
