| Résumé : | An efficient metal free polyethylene glycol wrapped potassium tribromide [PEG.KBr3] has been developed for the first time by using host―guest chemistry. The prepared reagent is found to be an Efficient, stable, cost-effective, and recyclable catalyst for the oxidation of a variety of primary, secondary, 1,2 diols, and α-hydroxy to the corresponding aldehydes, ketones, and 1,2-diketones respectively, in high to excellent yields by using hydrogen peroxide as oxidant. |
