CostsIndex. décimale : Ms01585 Résumé : Location, rent and transport are inter-related developpements are to be located at sites wich incur minimum costs, locational theory has lacked a detailed consideration of the location of developpements in relation to the transport system.
Using an example of an office block for which the only production input costs of providing working space for the employees, the study shows that there exists a location wich minimises both costs.
The derivation of transport cost necessitated the use of 3 stages in the modelling process.
These are trip generation/attraction, mondal choice and trip assigment.
Both analytical and numerical techniques were used to derive ret and transport cost per employee per annum.
The results show that the optimal location was acheived for each of the rental cost alternatives cosidered and that the variation of any of the two costs affects the optimum location.Travel to work : costs and office location [texte imprimé] / Samia Ounzab, Auteur ; Seaton, R.A.F., Directeur de thèse . - Cranfield : [s.n.], 1985 . - 52 f. : ill. ; 30 cm.
