| Résumé : | The essential oils obtained from five samples of Cordia multispicata collected in four municipalities of the state of Pará (Brazil), were obtained by hydrodistillation and analyzed by GC-FID and GC/MS. The most abundant component identified in all oils studied was β-caryophyllene, except in the oil from Ilha de Arapiranga, municipality of Barcarena; this oil showed a high amount of β-phellandrene. The result reveals the occurrence at least two types of the oils from C. multispicata in the state of Pará: β-caryophyllene-type and β-phellandrene/β-caryophyllene-type, with predominance of the former. |
