Titre : Analysis of volatile compounds of camu-camu (Myrciaria dubia (HBK) Mcvaugh) fruit isolated by different methods Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Clara E. Quijano, Auteur ; Jorge A. Pino, Auteur Année de publication : 2008 Article en page(s) : pp. 527-533 Note générale : Génie Chimique Langues : Anglais (eng) Mots-clés : Myrciaria dubia Myrtaceae Fruit volatiles Extract volatiles Headspace volatiles Limonene α-pinene Résumé : Volatile compounds were isolated from camu-camu (Myrciaria dubia (HBK) McVaugh) fruit by liquid-liquid extraction (LLE), simultaneous distillation-solvent extraction (SDE) and headspace solid-phase microextraction (HS-SPME). The volatile concentrates were examined by GC and GC/MS. A total of 111, 114 and 138 compounds were identified in the LLE, SDE and HS-SPME of the fruit, respectively. Limonene was the major component of these concentrates, followed by α-pinene. The relative proportions of the major compounds are shown to be dependent upon the isolation methods. Quijano, Auteur ; Jorge A. Pino, Auteur Article en page(s) : pp. 131-134 Note générale : Génie Chimique Langues : Anglais (eng) Mots-clés : Guava leaves Psidium guajava Myrtaceae Glycosidically bound volatiles Index. décimale : 646 Résumé : Free and glycosidically bound volatiles obtained from the guava leaves (Psidium guajava L.) by liquid-liquid extraction and by chromatography, followed by enzymatic hydrolysis with non-selective pectinase respectively, were analyzed by capillary GC and GC/MS analyses.
A total of 39 free volatiles were detected (total amount of 1328 mg/ kg), with the major components being α-copaene, β-caryophyllene, and cadina-1,4-diene.
Among the 47 detected glycosidically bound compounds (total amount of 7050 mg/kg), hexanol, benzyl alcohol, and (E)-3-hexenoic acid were found to be the major constituents.
In aroma evaluation, the free volatile fraction showed a guava leaf-like aroma whereas the bound fraction was odorless.
However, the characteristic herbaceous-green-fatty aroma was noted in the bound fraction after enzymatic hydrolysis.
Upon the combination of the free and hydrolyzed bound fractions, a strongly fresh, guava leaf-like aroma was perceived.DEWEY : 665 ISSN : 1041-2905 En ligne : http://www.jeoronline.com/archive/detail/42#top [article] Free and glycosidically bound volatiles in guava leaves (Psidium guajava L.) palmira ICA-I cultivar [texte imprimé] / Mady García, Auteur ; Clara E.
