Titre : Essential oil composition of six lomatium species attractive to indra swallowtail butterfly (Papilio indra) : Principal component analysis against essential oil composition of lomatium dissectum var. multifidum Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Philip S. Beauchamp, Auteur ; Eric Chea, Auteur ; Jeannie G. Dimaano, Auteur Article en page(s) : pp. 535-542 Note générale : Génie Chimique Langues : Anglais (eng) Mots-clés : Lomatium brandegei Lomatium eastwoodiae Lomatium graveolens Lomatium howelii Lomatium junceum Lomatium parryi Apiaceae Essential oil composition α-pinene β-pinene β-phellandrene Limonene Octanol Octyl acetate Bornyl acetate β-caryophyllene Indra swallowtail butterfly Papilio indra Index. décimale : 646 Résumé : The essential oil compositions of the upper parts of six Lomatium species, Lomatium brandegei, Lomatium eastwoodiae, Lomatium graveolens, Lomatium howelii, Lomatium junceum and Lomatium parryi, were determined by comparing the reported GC, GC/MS data of the oil components as well as by comparing the GC/MS retention times and the mass spectra of several other components with authentic samples.
The Indra swallowtail butterfly has been observed to lay eggs on these Lomatium species.
A principal component analysis of the essential oil composition of the six species against the essential oil of Lomatium dissectum var. multifidum, a non-Indra swallowtail butterfly host, was conducted.DEWEY : 665 ISSN : 1041-2905 En ligne : http://www.jeoronline.com/archive/detail/42#top [article] Essential oil composition of six lomatium species attractive to indra swallowtail butterfly (Papilio indra) : Principal component analysis against essential oil composition of lomatium dissectum var. multifidum [texte imprimé] / Philip S.
