Bnina, Auteur ; S. Hammami, Auteur ; M. Daami-Remadi, Auteur Article en page(s) : pp. 567-572 Note générale : Génie Chimique Langues : Anglais (eng) Mots-clés : Thymus hirtus Lamiaceae Essential oil composition α-pinene 1,8-cineole Camphor γ-eudesmol α-eudesmol Antibacterial activity Anti-fungal activity Index. décimale : 646 Résumé : The chemical composition of essential oils isolated from fresh flowers and aerial parts of Thymus hirtus Willd was analyzed using GC and GC/MS.
Forty-six components were identified in the oil of each organ.
Camphor occurred as the major constituent of the aerial part oil, while a-pinene was the most notably dominating compound in the flower oil.
Biological activities of the indicated oils were evaluated against eight bacteria, nine phytopathogenic, and 15 human pathogenic fungi.DEWEY : 665 ISSN : 1041-2905 En ligne : http://www.jeoronline.com/archive/detail/42#top [article] Composition and antimicrobial activities of essential oils from the aerial parts and flowers of thymus hirtu W. growing in Tunisia [texte imprimé] / E.
