Titre : Adjoint transfer matrix based decoupling control for multivariable processes Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Shen, Yuling, Auteur ; Youxian Sun, Auteur ; Shaoyuan Li, Auteur Année de publication : 2013 Article en page(s) : pp. 16419-16426 Note générale : Industrial chemistry Langues : Anglais (eng) Mots-clés : Multivariable system Résumé : In this paper, a novel decoupling control scheme based on adjoint matrix is proposed. By introducing the concept of characteristic sequence, the characteristic sequence of both the adjoint transfer matrix and the determinant transfer function are derived from that of original process transfer matrix. The adjoint transfer matrix and determinant transfer function are then determined. Finally, the adjoint matrix is selected as a decoupler, and the decentralized controller is designed for the determinant transfer function. The effectiveness of the proposed design approach is verified by three multivariable industrial processes, which shows that it results in better overall performance compared with other methods. Titre : Multivariable process control : decentralized, decoupling, or sparse? Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Shen, Yuling, Auteur ; Wen-Jian Cai, Auteur ; Shaoyuan Li, Auteur Année de publication : 2010 Article en page(s) : pp 761–771 Note générale : Chimie industrielle Langues : Anglais (eng) Mots-clés : Multivariable control PID Industrial processes Decoupling. Résumé : In this article, a systematic approach is proposed to design PI-/PID-based multivariable control systems in which the designs and analyses of decentralized, decoupling, and sparse control schemes are all treated under a unified framework. First, based on the relative normalized gain array (RNGA), a best loop pairing is obtained using the RGA (relative gain array)−Nederlinski index (NI)−RNGA rules. The index matrix is then calculated, and the control structure is determined according to a selection criterion. Finally, the selected loop controllers are independently designed based on equivalent transfer functions. The effectiveness of the proposed design approach is verified by analysis of several multivariable industrial processes, demonstrating that the selected control structure results in better overall system performance.
