The management of a hydraulic structure during a flood is an activity where there is a lot at stake, especially with regard to safety and legal implications. It is therefore essential that operators are well-prepared for this exceptional situation. The SIMBA program, the result of close collaboration between EDF’s Hydraulic Engineering, R&D and the Professional Training Division, enables the operator to practise the application of flood safety procedures under realistic conditions and to deal with various flood scenarios.
