A study is presented of the preparation of zeolite films (Pt/ZSM5 and Pt/Zeolite Y) on microreactor channels with a diameter of 500 μm. The catalysts were prepared and fully characterized as powders and then incorporated into the microreactors by a seeded hydrothermal synthesis procedure. The performance of the zeolite-coated microreactors were tested in the combustion of n-hexane, alone, and in mixtures with acetone at concentrations of 100 and 200 ppmV. The microreactors outperformed the fixed-bed reactor, giving light-off temperatures in the 150−190 °C range. |
