The chemical composition of the oils was examined by GC and GC/MS.
Twenty components in the HD oil and 21 components in the MHD oil were identified, representing 95.2% and 94.5% of the related oils, respectively.
Major components in the HD and MHD oils were cinnamaldehyde (62.6%, 69.6%), α-copaene (16.0%, 5.4%) and β-cadinene (7.7%, 4.7%).DEWEY : 665 ISSN : 1041-2905 En ligne : http://www.jeoronline.com/archive/detail/50#top [article] Chemical composition of the essential oils of cinnamomum loureirii nees. from China obtained by hydrodistillation and microwave-assisted hydrodistillation [texte imprimé] / Rong Li, Auteur ; Ying Wang, Auteur ; Zi-Tao Jiang, Auteur . - 2010 . - pp. 129-131.

These measurements reveal that the inhibition efficiency increased with increase in the concentrations of inhibitors, and the inhibition efficiencies decrease in the order 4-(quinoxalin-2-yl)phenol (PHQX) > 2-quinoxalinethiol (THQX) > 2-chloroquinoxaline (CHQX) > quinoxaline (QX). Tafel polarization curves show that all the investigated inhibitors act as mixed-type inhibitors. Quantum chemical calculation was applied to correlate electronic structure parameters of quinoxaline and its derivatives with their inhibition performances. Molecular dynamics simulations were also used to optimize the equilibrium configurations of the inhibitor molecules on the iron surface. The efficiency order of the studied inhibitors obtained by experimental results was verified by theoretical calculations.
