Titre : Transient pressure-driven flow in interface region between a uniform porous medium and a clear fluid in parallel-plate with suction/injection Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : M. L. In this paper, solutions for the transient flow fully developed laminar fluid flow in the parallel-plates partially filled with a uniform porous medium and partially with a clear fluid are presented in the presence of suction/injection using numerical technique. The Brinkman-extended Darcy equation is utilized to model the flow in the porous region. The solutions account for the boundary effects and for the stress jump boundary condition at the interface recently suggested by Ochoa-Tapia and Whitaker (1995) [15, 16] and also reported by Alazmi and Vafai (2001) [5]. The dependence of the velocity on the Pressure gradient, the adjustable coefficient in the stress jump boundary conditions, porous medium and suction/injection are investigated. It is shown that accounting for a jump in the shear stress at the interface and suction are essentially influence velocity profiles. It is also observed that the unsteady velocity coincides with the steady state velocity at large value of time.DEWEY : 658 ISSN : 1750-9653 En ligne : http://www.ijmsem.org/OnlineJournal.do/?118.html [article] Transient pressure-driven flow in interface region between a uniform porous medium and a clear fluid in parallel-plate with suction/injection [texte imprimé] / M.
