Documentation about how to use a type T611 Tektronix Storage Monitor as a data storage and display instrument is presented in this dissertation.
A survey was carried out to what option was best to interface it. Two main options were available. It could have been used as a two screen graphics terminal where it would be an RS232 terminal using microprocessor. Alternatively, it could be interfaced to the HP 1000 F computer via its own interfacing processor the HP 2240. The choice settled on the second option. The driving software has been prepared for this purpose. The language used is FORTRAN 4. A complete listing and a full description of the programming is provided. |
