In this dissertation the sequencing of the packing activity subject to constraints in large detergent plants is considered and a solution is obtained using expert systems techniques.
The general topology of such plants is of processing-storing-processing type. The sequencing of the packing activity is a part of an overall solution for the scheduling problem for this type of plants using novel approaches. This overall scheduling philosophy is also described in this dissertation. |
