Titre : A Comparative Study of the Constituents of the Essential Oils of Goniothalamus tapis Miq. and G. tapisoides Mat Salleh from Borneo Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : F. Bin Ahmad, Auteur ; B. A. Moharm, Auteur ; I. Jantan, Auteur Année de publication : 2011 Article en page(s) : pp. 499-502 Note générale : Génie Chimique Langues : Anglais (eng) Mots-clés : Goniothalamus tapis Goniothalamus tapisoides Annonaceae Essential oil composition 1,8-cineole α-copaene Cyperene β-caryophyllene Limonene Safrole Linalool Index. décimale : 646 Résumé : The leaf, bark and root oils of Goniothalamus tapis Miq. and G. tapisoides Mat Salleh were investigated by capillary GC and GC/MS. The leaf oil of G. tapis was made up mainly of sesquiterpenoids where α-copaene (23.8%) and β-caryophyllene (14.4%) were the major components. The bark oil of G. tapis could be differentiated from its leaf oil due to its high content of linalool (13.0%), limonene (12.7%) and safrole (11.2%). Although the leaf oil and root oil of G. tapis were rich in sesquiterpenoids, different ones were found in this latter oil where the most abundant constituent was cyperene (16.2%). The leaf oil of G. tapisoides comprised almost entirely of monoterpenoids, of which 1,8-cineole (79.0%) was the most abundant component. The bark and the root oils of G. tapisoides were also rich in 1,8-cineole, but with considerable variation in levels of the minor constituents.
