Résumé : |
An improved conductometric titration method has been developed for the easy detection of lanthanides in the presence of interfering ions using a five-ring conductivity probe. These measurements were compared with those from a two-pole conductivity cell. Conductometric titrations of lanthanides with ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA) and trans-1,2-diaminocyclohexanetetraacetic acid (DCTA) as complexing agents were successfully carried out in the presence of alkaline earth metal ions, transition metal ions, and other metal ions, such as Al3+ and Th4+, as interfering ions. The performance of the titrations of binary mixtures of Al(III) and lanthanides further improved and distinct end points corresponding to the stoichiometric ratio could be observed in mixed solvent media containing 1,4-dioxane (10―20%) which otherwise showed interference in aqueous media. |
