This project addresses the design of a radial centrifugal pump through an integrated
approach combining numerical simulation, computer-aided design (CAD), and automated optimization. The work begins with the hydraulic and mechanical design of the pump followed by a numerical simulation (CFD) to analyze and validate its performance characteristics. An automated optimization process is then applied, resulting in ameasurable improvement in the pump’s efficiency. To support experimental validation of the design, a scale model of the pump is manufactured using 3D printing, and a detailed specifications document is established for the development of a hydraulic test bench for future works |
