| Résumé : |
This work presents the design and numerical investigation of a scaled metal hydride hydrogen storage tank
equipped with a central cooling/heating tube. The study focuses on hydrogen absorption and desorption in a MmNi4.6Al0.4 hydride bed, using simplified MATLAB models and a two-dimensional axisymmetric ANSYS Fluent simulation. The results show that tank performance is mainly controlled by thermal management, since absorption generates heat while desorption requires heat supply. The model comparison and parametric study confirm the importance of pressure, cooling temperature and bed thermal conductivity. |
