Concrete materials Polypropylene fibre Mechanical performance Durability |
Résumé : |
Concrete is the most commonly used structural material in the world. This paper evaluated the influence of polypropylene fibre on the performance of concrete materials. The performance of concrete materials was determined by testing the compressive, flexural, and splitting tensile strengths, as well as the freeze-thaw resistance, impermeability, and restrained shrinkage cracking. These results indicate that the use of polypropylene fibres can significantly improve the flexural and splitting tensile strengths of concrete materials. The freeze-thaw resistance and impermeability were improved due to the addition of polypropylene fibre. When the volume of the added polypropylene fibres was increased, the concrete was able to resist more freeze-thaw cycles. Polypropylene fibres can also reduce cracking, and improve the cracking resistance of concrete materials. |
