Titre : Aromatic plants of tropical central africa. part XLVI. : Essential oil constituents of cassia alata (L.) from Gabon Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Huguette Agnaniet, Auteur ; Raphaël Bikanga, Auteur ; Jean-Marie Bessière, Auteur Année de publication : 2006 Article en page(s) : pp. 410-412 Note générale : Génie Chimique Langues : Anglais (eng) Mots-clés : Cassia alata Leguminosae Essential oil composition Linalool Pentadecanal Borneol Résumé : The essential oil obtained by hydrodistillation of leaves of Cassia alata collected in Gabon was analyzed using capillary GC and GC/MS. Forty-four compounds representing 95.2% of the oil were identifi ed among them linalool (23.0%), borneol (8.6%) and pentadecanal (9.3%) were major constituents. The antioxidant activity of the oil was found to be low compared to that of butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT). Titre : Aromatic plants of tropical central africa. part XLVII. : Chemical and biological investigation of essential oils of ocimum species from Gabon Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Huguette Agnaniet, Auteur ; Jean-Jacques Anguillet, Auteur ; Jean-Marie Bessière, Auteur Année de publication : 2006 Article en page(s) : pp. 466-470 Note générale : Génie Chimique Langues : Anglais (eng) Mots-clés : Ocimum gratissimum Ocimum minimum Labiatae Essential oil composition Eugenol Methyl chavicol p-cymene Thymol Linalool Radical scavenging activity Résumé : Volatile compounds from leaves of Ocimum gratissimum L. (two chemotypes) and O. minimum L. were isolated by hydrodistillation and analyzed by GC and GC/MS. Twenty 35 and 31 constituents were identified, respectively, for O. gratissimum (var. I and II) and O. minimum, of which eugenol (75.5%) and germacrene D (6.2%), p-cymene (33.3%), thymol (31.3%) and methyl chavicol (36.3%) and linalool (17.8%) were the most abundant, respectively. The oils of O. gratissimum present a significant radical scavenging activity whereas O. minimum oil was found to be much less efficient. Titre : Distilled lavandin (Lavandula intermedia Emeric ex Loisel) wastes : A rich source of coumarin and herniarin Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Christophe Tiliacos, Auteur ; Emile M. Gaydou, Auteur ; Jean-Marie Bessière, Auteur Année de publication : 2008 Article en page(s) : pp. 412-413 Note générale : Génie Chimique Langues : Anglais (eng) Mots-clés : Lavandin Lavandula intermedia Lamiaceae Extract composition coumarin Herniarin Résumé : The chemical composition of cyclohexanic extract from distilled lavandin (Lavandula intermedia) wastes has been characterized by GC and GC/MS. Among the main components, coumarin and herniarin represented 33%. The structure identification was in agreement with their 1H- and 13C-NMR spectra. Among the other main components, α-bisabolol (9.6%) and T-cadinol (5.0%), together with linear and branched hydrocarbons were identified.
