Willk. collected in eastern Spain was analyzed by GC and GC/MS. The main constituents identified were methyl chavicol (79%) and limonene (7%). The high oil yield (72.0% fresh plant material) and the proportion of the main compounds support the consideration of D. hispanicus as a separate species of the S. and CS.
