CB Clarke were analyzed by GC, GC/MS and NMR spectroscopy. The oil from the aerial parts contained β-caryophyllene (12.5%), dill apiole (20.4%) and parsley apiole (39.9%), while the root oil contained myristicin (16.2%), dill apiole (11.3%) and parsley apiole (61.8%) as the major components. This is the frst report of the composition of the oils from the aerial parts and roots of P. acuminata.
