The oil yield was 0.5%. The essential oil was injected to GC/MS; the constituents of the oil were identified by comparison of retention indices and mass spectra with published data. The authors identified 70 components reperesenting 92.4% of the oil. The main components were dillapiole (35.0%), limonene (20.0%) and elemicin (8.9%).
