From the MS data and retention indices, 96.0% of the oil consisting of 142 components could be identified. The essential oil was characterized by a high percentage of oxygenated monoterpenes (mainly carbonylic), the most important being trans-dihydrocarvone (14.2%) and geranial (10.1%).
