Titre : Distribution ratios of lipase-catalyzed reaction products in ionic liquid supercritical CO2 systems : resolution of 2-octanol enantiomers Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Rafat Bogel-Lukasik, Auteur ; Vesna Najdanovic-Visak, Auteur ; Susana Barreiros, Auteur Année de publication : 2008 Article en page(s) : p. 4473–4480 Note générale : Bibliogr. p. 4479-4480 Langues : Anglais (eng) Mots-clés : Vapor-liquid equilibrium; CO2 systems; Ionic liquid Résumé : This paper presents vapor−liquid equilibrium (VLE) data for systems containing high-pressure CO2, an ionic liquid, and products of an enzymatic reaction between succinic anhydride and (R,S)-2-octanol in the presence of a lipase. VLE experiments were used to calculate partition coefficients of reaction products between the ionic liquid-rich phase and the CO2-rich phase. Experiments of extraction with CO2 from an ionic liquid of (S)-2-octanol in conditions similar to those of the postreaction mixture were also carried out. The extraction at 11 MPa and 35 °C allows one to recover completely the unreacted enantiomer of 2-octanol with very high enantiomeric excess (98.42%). Titre : Liquid − liquid equilibrium of mixtures of imidazolium - based ionic liquids with propanediols or glycerol Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Carlos A. S. Trindade, Auteur ; Zoran P. Visak, Auteur ; Rafat Bogel-Lukasik, Auteur Année de publication : 2010 Article en page(s) : pp. 4850-4857 Note générale : Industrial chemistry Langues : Anglais (eng) Mots-clés : Ionic liquid Phase equilibrium Liquid liquid equilibrium Résumé : In this work, liquid-liquid equilibria (LLE) of solutions of imidazolium-based ionic liquids-with either bistriflamide ([Cnmim][NTf2], n = 2 and n = 10) or triflate anions ([C2mim][OTf]), with 1-propanol, 1,2-propanediol, 1,3-propanediol, and glycerol (1,2,3-propanetdol)-were studied. The obtained phase diagrams show a remarkable difference in solvation properties between ionic liquids with NTf2 or OTf anions toward the aforementioned alcohols: although [C2mim][NTf2] constantly exhibited partial miscibility, [C2mim][OTf was always completely miscible. This divergence is likely to be related to the distinct abilities of NTf2 and OTf anions toward hydrogen bonding. It was also found that the shorter cation alkyl chain in the [Cnmim][NTf2] ionic liquids provided better solubility with both propanediols and glycerol. In addition, the solubility of 1,3-propanediol in both [C2mim][NTf2] and [C10mim][NTf2] was much lower than that of 1,2-propanediol From the application point of view, the present results show that mixtures of [C2mim][NTf2] and [C2mim][OTf ionic liquids may achieve the separation of 1,3-propanediol from glycerol. The LLE experimental results were correlated using a model based on the Peng-Robinson equation of state (PR EoS) combined with th< Mathias—Klotz—Prausnitz (MKP) mixing rule.
