This thesis addresses the analysis of a class of systems containing two single valued nonlinearities.
The analysis is threefold.
First, sufficient conditions for absolute stability are developed.
Second, the problem of determining the existence and stability of oscillations is investigated; sufficient conditions are presented.
Third, the approximate amplitude and frequency of the oscillation, if one exists, are obtained using the describing function (DF) method. |
