Résumé :	Les TPE ont pris leur place entre les caoutchoucs vulcanisés et les plastiques grâce à leur concept spécifique entrainant un certain nombre de propriétés générales notamment d’élasticité et de thermoplasticité. Près d’une dizaine de familles sont maintenant d’usage général permettant de couvrir la majorité des besoins. Les SBS, SEBS, TPO, TPE/PVC, MPR et polyoléfines alliées à diverses phases d’élastomère réticulé dynamiquement offrent des propriétés mécaniques et chimiques particulières à chaque famille alors que la réticulation dynamique de la phase élastomère améliore l’élasticité. The TPEs took place between vulcanized rubbers and thermoplastics with their specific concept leading to some interesting general properties such as elasticity and thermoplasticity. Today, nearly ten families are commonly used, covering most of the needs and bridging the gap between rubbers and thermoplastics. SBS, SEBS, TPO, TPE/PVC, MPR and polyolefins allied with various dynamically crosslinked elastomer phases offer specific mechanical and chemical properties for each family. Dynamic crosslinking of the elastomer enhances elasticity.
