Pop. ex Poljak, and the flower, leaves and stems of Artemisia incana (L.) Druce. were analyzed by GC and GC/MS. Davanone (40.1%, 32.3% and 12.6%) was the main constituent in the stem, leaf and aerial parts oils of A. ciniformis.
The other main components in the aerial parts oil of the plant were myrcene (19.3%), linalool (13.5%) and camphor (13.1%).
The flower, leaf and stem oils of A. incana were found to be rich in α- thujone (28.7%, 28.1% and 22.2%), 1,8-cineole (20.5%, 22.1% and 25.5%) and camphor (10.5%, 10.1% and 12.6%), respectively.ISSN : 1041-2905 En ligne : http://www.tandfonline.com/doi/abs/10.1080/10412905.2007.9699328#.UXJZ-0qC5mM
