Flow measurementIndex. décimale : Ms00983 Résumé : The work presented in this dissertation involves the developement of a mass flow measurement device which can work reliably in typical industrial environment.
The instrument might well be required to operate with different materials, particles sizes, particles shapes, inpurities and changing conveyor gases.
As well as to operate under different transportation conditions of solids loadings and velocity.
Moreover an instrument which is independant of the physical state of the process flow is highly desirable.
A possible solution consists of two measurement.
i/ Solids velocity by cross-correlation technique.
ii/ Rate of flow momentum change by force (F) sensor.
Finally, all our experiments were carried out on a pipe of 5.3 mm of diameter where the air density was of 1.2 Kg/m.Development of a mass flowmeter for a high density/two phase flow [texte imprimé] / Kais Benotmane, Auteur ; C. Polymer matrixIndex. décimale : D003984 Résumé : The purpose of this work was to study the feasibility of plasticising poly(vinyl chloride)(PVC) by polymerising within it various methacrylic ester monomers whose polymers might plasticise the resin.
Most of the work was carried out with n-butyl methacrylate (nBMA) monomer, whose polymer has been reported to form compatible blends with PVC by some researchers, whereas others claim incompatibility.
The articles were prepared by a direct process of thermo fabrication of PVC compounded with nBMA monomer whose polymerisation was initiated by a free-radical initiator.
The fabrication process used throughout was that of compression moulding which superseded attempts to blend the different components on a two-roll mill, followed by compression moulding which proved unsuccessful.Plastication by polymerisation within a polymer matrix : a study of the polymerisation of monomeric acrylate esters within a poly (vinyl chloride) matrix, and of the structure, thermal and mechanical properties of the products.
